What is the Electronic Music Catalogue?The Electronic Music Catalogue system is used by some of the worlds largest publishing houses to catalogue their classical music titles. Now the Electronic Music Catalogue for Windows (or EMCW for short) provides all of the power and simplicity of this cataloguing system to everyone with a Windows-based IBM PC or compatible computer.
For Home, School and Business Perfect for home, school and business use, EMCW may be used to computerise libraries of printed music, recordings or any other list of music titles with complete access to the vast array of searching techniques available. EMCW provides you with the capabilities to find catalogue entries by composer names, composer dates (including anniversaries), nationality, title, duration and instrumentation or genre. Easy to Use The EMCW system is very easy to use. The familiarity of the Windows interface together with online help means that you will be able to learn and use EMCW very quickly. EMCW also has a simple installation program that will configure your system automatically.
Over 1500 Composers Supplied To help you build up your catalogues as rapidly as possible, EMCW has names and dates for over 1500 composers, from Carl Friedrich Abel to Ellen Taaffe Zwillich. You can even save your own images and biographies. Print or Save Selected Titles Once you have entered the information in your catalogues, you can print selected listings to any Windows printer, or save them to a file in a number of formats (including HTML - the language of the World Wide Web) compatible with almost all computers available today. EMCW can also access the Windows clipboard for the easy exchange of information between Windows programs. Vast Amount of Information EMCW can handle any number of separate catalogues both large and small extremely efficiently.
Multimedia Capabilities EMCW can display pictures of composers and composer biographies, and can play sounds and access directly CD tracks via your CD-ROM. Network Aware Licences may be obtained to run the registered* version on a network so that a number of users may access the same files simultaneously.
