BTMI is an Adelaide owned and operated company offering a wide variety of tools and software solutions for publishers, designers and libraries.
Founded in 1995 by Director Peter Grimshaw, it began as a small business providing catalogue and licensing solutions for major music publishers in Australia and abroad. Over the years it has expanded to incorporate digital publishing solutions, information warehousing, personalised software development, copyright and licensing consultation and internet technologies.

Peter worked as the head of Promotion for Boosey & Hawkes Australia for15 years before leaving to form his own software company in 1995. His keynote cataloging and licensing program called HLMSW (Hire Library Management System for Windows) is now used exclusively by all of the top 10 classical music publishing houses in the world as well as most of the smaller ones. His knowledge of the publishing industry as well as his superior technical and programming skills enable him to provide all of our clients with a natural insight into their technical goals and requirements.

Business Management and Editorial Services: Lauren Hayes Gilbert
Lauren joined with BTMI in 2006 after working in copyright and performance licensing for 5 years with G. Schirmer, INC in New York. She has written several training manuals including one for the Schirmer hire library as well as for the NYS Office for Technology NYeNet project and handled performance contract negotiations for some of the largest performing arts organisations in North America.
